Media Archive Magic...
It's not just ALL those videos that need to be digitized, organized, and preserved! There are boxes of photos, relics, drags, and more! What do we do with it all? How do we SAFELY and with CONSENT get this history archived, organized, and accessible to our community.
Somebody ought to start a project and shepherd some volunteers. Leo Sunshine has all Misha's videos in his possession and has been talking this up for years. We also have "discussions" every year about what to do with photos from gatherings and how to share them "safely."
For example, 3 our 4 queens pictured below didn't consent to this picture being posted here! It is easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission. Maybe the one queen who consented and posted this will get permission before this site goes live and isn't password protected. Or maybe pangs of guilt will cause it to be taken down. Or maybe it's so fabulous that it simply MUST be shared...?
